[9:03pm] Sayyida: I know we are struggling because of our name, but lets bring that up

[9:04pm] Bosun: I should hang myself from the yardarm. OK - So far I have been looking at banks - and I am trying to find one with:
[9:04pm] Bosun: * a national footprint or ability for anyone anywhere to tend the account
[9:05pm] Bosun: * something without massive fees or charges
[9:05pm] Bosun: * somebody that does not look at me crosseyed because I say pirate
[9:06pm] Sayyida: currenlty the 2 banks we have looked at have given us either massive fees or shown us the door because we are pirates
[9:06pm] Bosun: So far bankers have been a problem - when we stay away from the big ones - with have large feed
[9:06pm] Bosun: Which ... yeah
[9:07pm] Pirate_Joe: Jokeefe or I can get it done. I'll look for an opportunity this week to do so.
[9:07pm] Sayyida: the smaller ones want to more or less stay away and the bigger ones are asking 15-20 for monthly fees for not having x ammount in the bank
[9:07pm] Bosun: So the current application is with a national bank with good review - that does startups and has no brick and mortar beaches,
[9:07pm] Pirate_Joe: My banks already know my crazy and accepted it long ago.

[9:08pm] jokeefe: MAPP has used two banks so far without problem
[9:08pm] jokeefe: might be just Mass. banks
[9:08pm] jokeefe: which are more regional

[9:09pm] Sayyida: we had no problem with UWM credit union, but that is university wisconsin (milwaukee) credit union
[9:09pm] Pirate_Joe: So long as we have online access and cards, there's no worries.

[9:10pm] Bosun: The internet bank does the accost stuff without a branch visit.

[9:11pm] Pirate_Joe: My point is that a regional bank that you already know will not give you problems.

[9:11pm] jokeefe: Getting signatures will probably require a notary for people who cannot appear at a branch

[9:12pm] Bosun: I the long run any state should be able to pick up the baton

[9:12pm] Pirate_Joe: That is fine, we can swap banks then. Not like there is a shortage of them.

[9:24pm] Pirate_Joe: Well, I would like to send out to all the pirates to see what support we could get.
