[9:05pm] Bosun: Let's discuss states recognition and admission criteria.
[9:05pm] Bosun: This was outlined in the bylaws.
[9:06pm] kusanagi: yep
[9:06pm] kusanagi: From what I understand things have changed in the past few years?
[9:06pm] Bosun: Rose will be working on getting CAPP back on its feet.
[9:07pm] Bosun: No, not really.
[9:07pm] kusanagi: oh.
[9:07pm] kusanagi: Awesome to hear Rose!
[9:08pm] Bosun: IMHO MA is really the cleanest in terms of good standing.
[9:09pm] kusanagi: AS they've always been.
[9:09pm] jokeefe: we try
[9:09pm] Joe left the chat room. (Ping timeout: 258 seconds)
[9:09pm] jokeefe: need more states and local organizers
[9:09pm] Joe joined the chat room.
[9:09pm] Joe: There is no try, there is only do.
[9:10pm] Bosun: BTW We (WIPP) covered the biannual DC report filing. We did not need financials.
[9:10pm] jokeefe: good to hear.
[9:10pm] Joe: However, Bosun has made plenty of inkind so WI is in good standing as well.
[9:10pm] jokeefe: we should set our own due date in advance of any filing gov. requirements
[9:11pm] Joe: Sorry for the delay, I had a hellish week.
[9:11pm] Joe: I will still get those to you anyways Bosun
[9:11pm] Bosun: I am guilty of filing 24 hours before the dead in. The fee was 180 btw.
[9:12pm] jokeefe: that is a yearly fee?
[9:12pm] jokeefe: sorry
[9:12pm] jokeefe: I see every two years?
[9:13pm] HIPP joined the chat room.
[9:13pm] Bosun: well - I was late but before deadline of trouble and death, If I filed on the requested date it would have been 70.
[9:13pm] HIPP: Here sorry late
[9:14pm] kusanagi: HIPP, please id for the record
[9:14pm] HIPP: Esme Dudoit
[9:14pm] kusanagi: of Hawaii, I assume?
[9:14pm] Bosun: and ... state
[9:15pm] HIPP: Correct, Hawaii Pirate Party
[9:15pm] jokeefe: Thank you
[9:15pm] kusanagi: Thanks
[9:15pm] jokeefe: Boson: When is the next filing date?
[9:15pm] Joe left the chat room. (Ping timeout: 258 seconds)
[9:16pm] Bosun: I'll get back with that ... I'll post it to the list.
[9:16pm] Joe joined the chat room.
[9:16pm] jokeefe: thank you. just want to make sure we all are prepared for the next one
[9:16pm] Bosun: Speaking of which, Yari needs list approval.
[9:16pm] kusanagi: SAB list approval?
[9:16pm] yari: yep
[9:17pm] jokeefe: http://sab.uspirates.org/cgi-bin/dada/mail.cgi
[9:17pm] papegaai: Title: Subscribe to a Mailing List (at sab.uspirates.org)
[9:17pm] Joe: For the record, we have $165 available for use.
[9:17pm] Bosun: She said she neede moderator approval.
[9:17pm] Bosun: needed ..
[9:17pm] kusanagi: Okay, that's a minor issue - I don't have access to the list. Yes, my email is listed as admin, but any password resets don't come, which is really irritating
[9:18pm] jokeefe: DADA mail is weird.
[9:18pm] kusanagi: Clearly. lmao
[9:18pm] kusanagi: but I've tried for a bit of time now, and still no dice
[9:18pm] Bosun: I am a mailman man myself.
[9:19pm] jokeefe: which we need to move too.
[9:19pm] kusanagi: So it might be time to migrate to a new list?
[9:19pm] jokeefe: Yes
[9:19pm] kusanagi: I'm sad about losing the SAB, but not that sad.
[9:19pm] kusanagi: lol
[9:19pm] jokeefe: Will create one at our hosting provider
[9:19pm] Sayyida: hahaha well its life right?
[9:19pm] HIPP left the chat room. (Ping timeout: 258 seconds)
[9:19pm] HIPP joined the chat room.
[9:20pm] kusanagi: Yeah, sort of. It's a lot of history. But it'll be fine.
[9:20pm] kusanagi: For those using the gateway, consider looking into a stable IRC client
[9:20pm] kusanagi: hexChat is one I recommend
[9:21pm] jokeefe: yes, webclient has issues unfortunately
[9:21pm] kusanagi: So yeah, new mailing list is a thing y'all should handle
[9:21pm] Joe: On mobile, Daddy pirat3 duties
[9:21pm] Bosun: I hope that does not include who is in front of the keyboard.
[9:21pm] kusanagi: They make mobile IRC clients too! lol
[9:22pm] Joe: Thanks, I will look in to it.
[9:22pm] roarde: What's a good client for iphone, android?
[9:22pm] Bosun: Android and Apple
[9:22pm] kusanagi: AndIRC was good when I used it.
[9:22pm] kusanagi: roarde, identify for the record please
[9:22pm] HIPP: there’s mobile irc , joe
[9:22pm] kusanagi: AndIRC is Android, I don't have one for Apple
[9:23pm] roarde: Hi, I'm an interloper. I'll remember not to comment during meetings. For now, please forget I exist.
[9:23pm] HIPP: oh someone said that.
[9:23pm] jokeefe: Colloquy is pretty good for apple
[9:23pm] jokeefe: no worries roarde
[9:23pm] kusanagi: thank you roarde - don't mean to be a jerk, but rules are rules
[9:23pm] Bosun: http://www.irchelp.org/clients/mobile/ios/
[9:23pm] papegaai: Title: IRCHelp.org — iOS IRC Clients (at www.irchelp.org)
[9:24pm] yari: So - ... I know CA is not a member state and is still just an observer, but wondering if we might want to look into forming some sort of subcommittee for recruiting new states/members?
[9:24pm] jokeefe: an outreach committee would be good
[9:24pm] Sayyida: Section 2: State Eligibility
[9:24pm] Sayyida: In order to be eligible to send Representatives to the PNC, a state must:
[9:24pm] Sayyida: Be home to a Pirate Party which is actively attempting to grow.
[9:24pm] Sayyida: Adhere to the Core Values.
[9:24pm] Sayyida: Appoint one Primary Representative and at least one Alternate Representative, both of whom must be active members of the state’s Pirate Party.
[9:24pm] Sayyida: Regularly send a Representative to attend PNC meetings.
[9:25pm] Sayyida: Maintain an active web presence with an easy method of contact by prospective members.
[9:25pm] jokeefe: we have many people on our mailing list we need to reach out to
[9:25pm] HIPP: Great idea, yari
[9:25pm] Sayyida: Apply for Representation, as set forth in Art. III §3.
[9:25pm] Sayyida: Ratify the PNC Bylaws
[9:25pm] kusanagi: Honestly, most of the mailing list doesn't respond
[9:25pm] kusanagi: a lot of people who are no longer involved/wish to be involved are on it
[9:25pm] jokeefe: SAB mailing list or crew
[9:25pm] jokeefe: ?
[9:25pm] kusanagi: both, really.
[9:25pm] kusanagi: Crew is outdated at this point, iirc
[9:25pm] Bosun: Yes we need to cull our list.
[9:26pm] yari: That doesn't mean we should scrap it - but we should update it
[9:26pm] jokeefe: didn’t think we ever emailed crew.
[9:26pm] kusanagi: I did
[9:26pm] kusanagi: When I was working on that whole thing, emails were sent out
[9:26pm] Joe left the chat room. (Ping timeout: 258 seconds)
[9:26pm] kusanagi: No one really responded, but that's possibly because it went to spam
[9:26pm] Joe joined the chat room.
[9:26pm] Bosun: Yes it sends emails.
[9:26pm] HIPP: def update, yari
[9:26pm] kusanagi: yari, right, that's my hope for crew
[9:27pm] kusanagi: SAB honestly I wouldn't worry about
[9:27pm] kusanagi: But that would mean more SM management
[9:27pm] yari: Re: outreach, could we make a group now? Either way I'd like to be a part of it
[9:27pm] kusanagi: and more activity on those channels
[9:28pm] Bosun: Yep.
[9:28pm] jokeefe: We had have issues with running into spam filters
[9:28pm] jokeefe: Direct emails might work
[9:28pm] HIPP: i would like to help as well, yari
[9:28pm] kusanagi: That's possible
[9:28pm] HIPP: re: outreach
[9:29pm] yari: I feel like whichever group we create should have a person who is an actual voting member though as part of it
[9:29pm] Sayyida: motion for extention
[9:29pm] kusanagi: yari, that's a fair point and I agree.
[9:29pm] HIPP: agreed, yari
[9:29pm] Joe: Do we still have access to our email addresses from SAB?
[9:29pm] Sayyida: we have 1 minute left,
[9:29pm] Sayyida: are we going to extend?
[9:30pm] jokeefe: yes, Joe
[9:30pm] yari: Second?
[9:30pm] yari: Am I allowed to second?
[9:30pm] Joe: 2nd
[9:30pm] jokeefe: 2nd
[9:30pm] kusanagi: for this is fine
[9:30pm] kusanagi: i don't know how strict you keep it
[9:30pm] Sayyida: thanks jokeefe
[9:30pm] kusanagi: lopl
[9:30pm] Bosun: ok extend for 20?
[9:31pm] Sayyida: aye
[9:31pm] jokeefe: For the purpose of discussing the formation of an outreach group? aye
[9:31pm] Bosun: passes
[9:31pm] yari: lovely
[9:31pm] HIPP: great
[9:32pm] jokeefe: 1) form an outreach group?
[9:32pm] jokeefe: 2) decide who will lead it?
[9:32pm] jokeefe: 3) ask for them to meet and report back in a week?
[9:33pm] yari: Until we have enough members that all committees are formed of only voting members, I think all groups should have a voting member on them
[9:33pm] yari: Jokeefe - agreed on all points
[9:34pm] jokeefe: I am happy to participate, but since this is the forum to review the report and decide what to do, I am less worried about non-state reps. composing it.
[9:34pm] kusanagi: Currently, do we have recognition on CA and HI?
[9:34pm] jokeefe: the committee that is
[9:34pm] jokeefe: no
[9:34pm] Joe left the chat room. (Ping timeout: 258 seconds)
[9:34pm] Joe joined the chat room.
[9:34pm] jokeefe: just people willing to organized and due stuff
[9:35pm] Joe: What f
[9:35pm] Bosun: do?
[9:35pm] HIPP: we’re here for you
[9:35pm] Joe: What states are currently recognized?
[9:35pm] yari: MA and WI
[9:35pm] kusanagi: Right, so unfortunately I have a concern about that.
[9:35pm] Joe: Sorry, baby on my face.
[9:35pm] Sayyida: lol baby face
[9:36pm] kusanagi: lol
[9:36pm] HIPP: lol
[9:36pm] Joe: I wish I was joking.
[9:36pm] kusanagi: I assume anyone looking to come in would be familiar with our code of conduct
[9:36pm] Bosun: Yes
[9:36pm] kusanagi: Especially since it's on the site, the discord
